Milano Aug 16 - James Marion Cave, a well known resident of this county died at his home Friday August 12 at 5:30 pm.Mr Cave was born in Milam county in1859 and had resided here all his life. He married to Miss Mary Francts La Grone, a daughter of Daniel La Grone, prominest pioneer citizan of this county, in 1880. To this union five children were born, all of whom, together with his wife survive him, and all were present for the funeral: Thomas Cave, Little Rock, Ark; Mrs Nannie Bodiford, Mrs Dan Lankford and D.C. Cave, Dallas; and Mrs. S J Gallagher. Olney, Eight grandchildren and one great grandchild. Two sisters and two brothers, Mrs J L Duncan of Talpa, Texas; Mrs. L Daughtery and Mrs. W E Duncan, Galveston; and Julia Rogers of Blackwell; John J Cave of Hilton; and Geo T Cave of Nolan.
Mr Cave had been in failing health for ten years but only confined to his bed about ten days. At the age of 18 he united with the Christian Church and was a faithful member to the end a devout christian ever ready to help his neighbor and friend.
Funeral services were conducted at the home at 5 pm Saturday with Rev. Joel B Jardigree, pastor of the Marow, Okla. Church officiating after which the body was laid to rest in the Malin Cemetery amist a host of sorrowing relatives and friends.

The Thorndale Thorn, Fri., June 15, 1906Thorndale, Milam County, Texas
Marriage - Thos. M. Cave of this city and Miss Orie Williams were married on Tuesday evening of this week at 6:30 p.m. at the home of the bride’s parents in Cleburne, [Johnson Co.], Texas. The bride was employed as a trimmer for the Thorndale Mercantile Co. last year. Mr. & Mrs. Cave arrived in Thorndale on Thursday afternoon and have taken up board with Mrs. Fannie Norman.
