Strattanville - Margaret Elizabeth Goheen, 87, of Stattanville died Monday, October 22, 1990 at Clarion Health Care Center. Born October 24, 1902 in Porter Township, Clarion County, she was a daughter of the late William E. and Pearl E. (Hepler) Pence. She married John E. Goheen on November 7, 1923. He preceded her in death on February 4, 1977. Mrs. Goheen, a homemaker, was a member of Stattanville Unitied Methodist Church, the Missionary Society of the church, and a member of the Strattanville American Legion Auxiliary. Survivors include four sons, Paul Goheen and Keith Goheen, both of Stattanville, Edward Goheen of Clarion, and William C. Goheen of Seneca; four daughters, Mrs. Alvin (Helen) Bauer of Wilson, NC, Mrs Henry (Leona) Beers of Strattanville, Mrs. Edward (Donna) Beary of Shippenville, and Mrs. Donald (Carolyn) Amsler of Shippensburg; 31 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by three sisters, Mrs. Harry (Ruth) Swartfager and Mrs Arthur (Bernice) Henry, both of New Bethlehem, and Miss Alma Pence of Stattanville. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. (today) Wednesday at the Goble Funeral Home, Clarion, with the Rev. Lee Karns of Stattanville United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment followed in Leatherwood Presbyterian Cemetery, Clarion County.
Her twin sister was Mildred Emma Pence Walls.
