Vilma M. Goheen, 73, of New Bethlehem, died Monday morning, Feb. 10,2003, at her residence. Born Oct. 20, 1929, in Painesville, Ohio, she was the daughter of James and Mary Szyarto Kallay. Mrs. Goheen was a cook for the Anderson House in New Bethlehem until her retirement. She previously was a nurses aide at Brookville Hospital. She was of the Catholic faith.Mrs. Goheen was married Sept. 10, 1949, to Bertrand A. "Dick" Goheen,who died June 4, 1998.
Surviving are a son and his wife, Theodore and Beverly Goheen of Mayport; a daughter and her husband, Sandra and John Adams of New Bethlehem RD 2; four grandchildren, Johnny Adams, Angie Conklin, Benjamin Goheen and Patrick Goheen; four great-grandchildren; and one step-great-grandson. She also is survived by one brother, Michael Kallay of Painesville,Ohio; and one sister, Margaret Horvath of Painesville, Ohio.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Goheen was preceded in death by a grandson, Richard Goheen, Oct. 26, 2002; two brothers, James and Theodore Kallay and a sister, Elsie Williams.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in the Rupert Funeral Home, New Bethlehem. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home with the Rev. Ben Shindledecker officiating. Interment will follow in the Leatherwood Cemetery, Porter Township, Clarion County.
