Death
Evelyn Sims Goble passes away early Wednesday, Feb 18, 2009 in Heritage Oaks Nursing Home in Arlington, Texas. She was 99 years old.She was born in Crisp, Texas on Christmas Day, 1909 and was a life-long resident of Ennis, Texas. Her parents were J. P. Sims and Rachel Emma (Acock) Sims.
Evelyn was a bookkeeper for Ennis Business Forms for 30 years. She retired in 1995. She was a member of the Tabernacle Baptist Church, the Eastern Star - Chapter # 160 and the Rebekah Lodge # 184.
She is survived by one son, Jim Sam and wife Carol Goble of Arlington; three grandchildren. Gary, Samuel and Robert Goble; four great grandchildren: Josh, Joy, Katie and Jonathan, three great-great-grandchildren and one sister. Jimmie White of Dallas.
Evelyn is preceded in death by her son, Howard Goble Jr., in 1975, four brothers and five sisters.
A grave side service was held on Saturday, Feb 21, 2009 at 11 a.m. at Myrtle Cemetery, with Rov Richard Moody officiating under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary, Inc.
