John A. Kline, native of Centre county died on Wednesday afternoon, February 12th, 1930, at the home of daughter, Mrs. Margaret Godshall, of Centre Hall, following an illness of five weeks of complication. The deceased, a son of the late George D., and Elizabeth Kline, was born at Oak Hall, this county, on August 20, 1851, making his age over 78 years. He had lived in the neighborhood of his birthplace all his life except for the past six years when he resided with his children. His wife died in 1922. He is survived by the following children: Mrs. Margaret Godshall, Centre Hall; Mrs. Annie Cann, Johnstown; George W., Salona, and Arthur E., Altoona. Four brothers and three sisters: Simon, Wayland, O., Calvin and Cornelius, State College; James, Philipsburg Mrs. Mary Bohn, Oak Hall Mrs. Elizabeth Weibly, Juniata, and Miss Anna Kline, Scranton, also survive. Mr. Kline was a member of the Methodist church, and a gentleman of sterling qualities. His funeral took place Saturday afternoon from the home of his daughter in Centre Hall, with burial at Boalsburg.
