Emma Elizabeth Coursey was my maternal grandmother. She was born in Rockford, Grant District, West Virginia. Her family moved to Central Texas when she was seven years old. Her father was the postmaster for three communities while the family lived in the post office which is now located in Granbury, Texas. After losing a five year old daughter named Ola, their home in Oklahoma burning to the ground and my grandfather's passing she was placed in a mental institution in northern Oklahoma which is no longer in operation. I never knew her but I'm told by my mother I'm a lot like her.
Burial: Schofield Cemetery, Tillman County, Oklahoma
