Info
Theory as to parents of George Albert Heintzelman:Collected Census for Lynn and Heidleburg twp for possible names of various spelling of Heintzelman;
Lynn Township 1790 (Northampton County)
Peter Heynselman
John Huselman
Jacob Houselman
Michael Helman
Lynn twp 1800
John Hanselman
George Heilman
Dietrich Hanselman [Dietrich is also nickname for Theodore in German]
Heildeburg township (Northampton County)
Hussman and Hausman surnames followed; Also the baptismal records of their children in the Union Reformed Church. These were followed with no change in spelling and well into the 19th century. I do not believe any of these were our Heintzlemans.
A Jerome Heintzelman was living in Lancaster County in the town of Manheim in 1782 (Penn Archives) and in 1779.
A Captain Heiselman from Lancaster County is assumed to be Jerome. Later in the war of 1812 from Lancaster County is Frederick Heintzman and John Heintzelman

An account from the Widow Heinselman, for the Maintance of Indian Jonathan Cayenquinloquois"s two Sons, from the Twenty-seveth of August 1755, until the 19th of March 1756, amounting to Twenty-seven Pounds and Eight-pence, was laid before the House and read. (Page 4215)
The Committee of Accounts reported, that they had examined the Widow Heinselman's Account, for the Maintance of Cayenquiloquoas's two Sons, who were sent to the Academy, and found the whole Amount thereof to be Forty-seven Pounds Nine Shillings and Nine-pence, one Half of which is chargeable to the Province, and the other to the Proprietaries, who by Agreement were to pay an equal Part with the House for Maingaining if the said two Indian Lad's,-- Which Report was agreed to by the House.
This Widow Heinselman is the first record found of a Heinselman in 1755.
It appears that several people are possible for the parents of George Heinselman. Living in Lynn township in 1800 the the time period of birth of our George Albert Heintzelman is: Deitrick, Andrew, and George according to the Pennsylvania Archives. Peter, John and Michael can be added to the list from census data.
The Deitrick line moved to Ohio and is documented there. This leaves George and Andrew with land in Lynn township in 1788. The 1790 census has Peter, John and Jacob living in Lynn township.
The estates of Lehigh county had one Heintzelman and his death was settles in June 1821 and second settlement in 1828. file number 402 (image 836 ...). Widow was Elizabeth who signed with an X. John an Jacob Heintzelman were the administrators to the estate. On the accounts settle was mentioned Andrew Heintzelman for 1 pound 80 shillings. Searched estates up to 1836 and no other Heintzelmans were listed.
The Ohio branch moved to Ohio after 1829 this would be after the second settlement of the John Dietrick Heintzelman estate which could be after the death of Elizabeth his widow. This is confirmened with the census data of 1850. They did have a son named George. [Does this indicate a George in a prior generaion?] Is it possible that George of Centre County Pennsylvania who was born in Lynn township was married and moved to Centre County before his father died?
