Margaret Myers

(Say 1803 - )

Article from The Times, "This hotel was run by Augustus Wolfe in the beginning, or else by his father. Nobody remembers farther back than Augustus Wolfe. He was married to an aunt of Mrs Adeline Kline, by the name of Elizabeth Myers. "Aunt Peggy" is the more familiar term. This Elizabeth was a sister of Joseph Myers whose son, Amos was killed in the Civil War and whose body was the first of the soldiers brought back to Boalsburg. Augustus died of small pox, if Mrs. Kline recalls aright. At any rate, he died, and his wife continued to operate the hotel with the help of her brother and her son." ...... The barn was built after the tavern. Mrs Wolfe's bachelor brother, Fred built it."
