Residence
Wayne TownshipSamuel Goble lived just about the site of what was subequently known as Church's Mill at the time of the land sale, and had a good cabin and some eight or ten acres partially cleared and under good fence. All these improvements were bid from under him by David Lauerback, who so well undertook the estimate in which he would be held by the early settlers that he "made himself scarce" afterward. Of those who came in before or just about the time of the land sale may be mentioned Waitsel M Cary, Abraham Heaton, Samuel Cary, Jacob Parkhurst, ....
