Death

Thomas Edwin Spradling, 62, of Calvert City, died Wednesday,June 15, 2011, at 4:02 p.m. at Marshall County Hospital.
Born Dec. 22, 1948 in Chattanooga, Tenn., he was a member of theNorth Marshall Church of Christ and he retired as a lock operator for the Army Corps of Engineers at Kentucky Dam. He was also a veteran of the United States Air Force.
In addition to his parents, George A. Spradling and Bessie Jane Hawkins Spradling, he was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters.
He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Culp Spradling of Calvert City; two sons, T.J. Spradling of Bunker Hill, Tenn. and David Spradling of Murray; one sister, Kitty Pruett of Knoxville, Tenn.;one brother, Jim Spradling of Chattanooga; and three grandchildren,Norah Spradling, Silas Spradling and Amelia Spradling.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 18, 2011, at 2 p.m.at Filbeck-Cann & King Funeral Home and Crematory with Daniel Hamm officiating. Burial will follow in the Birmingham Cemetery,where military rites will be conducted.
Visitation will be tonight, Friday, after 4 p.m. at Filbeck-Cann& King Funeral Home and Crematory.
