Birth
Levi Bull was born at Warwick Furnace, Chester County, Graduated from Dickinson College in his seventeenth year in October 1798. He received degree of D.D from Dickinson College and on July 5, 1844, from Allegheny College. He studied law under James Hopkins, Esq., of Lancaster, and while there was taken very ill, and his life despaired of. On recovery his attention was turned to the ministry, possibly from the fact that his mother has prayed constantly before his birth that her unborn child should be a boy, promising if granted that she soul influence him toward the ministry. He was ordained Deacon at Christ Church, Philadelphia, February 10, 1805, and priest in the Protestant Episcopalian church, at St. Paul's Church, Philadelphia February 16, 1806Census
