Jeanice and Harry met at a Weiner roast. They both had dates with other people but Harry decided that night that there was something special about Jeanice that he just had to persue. He went to see her the very next day. They dated about three years before they were married. Harry worked at Campbell 66 when they married.

Cause of death Parkinson's. Obituary: Jeanice Goheen - Jeanice Goheen, 71, 1711 Missouri Ave. died at 6:03 pm. Friday at Freeman Hospital, where she had be a patient since Nov 18 after several years of ill health.
Mrs. Goheen was born July 12 1918, at Sarcoxie She was a former sales representative for Pyramid Life Insurance Co. She was a member of Hornet Christian Church. Hornet community, south of Joplin.
She married Harry Goheen on Dec 4 1937, at Kansas City. He survives.
Additional survivors include a son, Bill Goheen, Joplin; a daughter, Jan Nickerson, Webb city; a sister, Mary Buzzard. Hornet community; five granddaughters; and seven great grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 pm Monday at Thornhill Dillon Mortuary. John Watson and Jerry Pufahl, ministers, will officiate.Burial will be in Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery.
Pall bears will be Jerry Aquino. Mark Oxford, Randy Oxford, Bud Doss, Robert Goheen and George Carder.
Contributions may be made to St. John's Brady Rehabilitation Center for Parkinson's treatment.
