Death
Richard Goheen 1925-2013Richard "Dick" Goheen, 88, of Cheyenne passed away June 11 at Davis Hospice Center
Mr Goheen was born Feb 24, 1925 in Hoquiam, Wash. At a young age, Dick enlisted in the U>S> Navy and served in the Pacific and Atlantic theatres in World War II. After his honorable discharge, he married Leona J Gilsdorf on Sept 25, 1947.
Dick worked in many capacities: breaking horses, hunting guide, farming, ranching, working for Mountain Bell and, above all raising his nine children.
Dick is survived by his children, Bob Goheen of Florissant, Colo., Mary Timmerman and husband Bruce of Cheyenne, Nancy Kosoff of Parer, Colo., Dee Busse and husband Scott of Hoquiam Wash., Donna Zimmerman and husband Dick of Scio, Ore., Judy Tjemsland and husband Morgan of Toledo, Wash., Rich Goheen and wife Mary of Greeley, Colo., Ron Goheen and wife RaeLynn of Gill, Colo., and Sandy Smith and husband Pat of Cheyenne; his sister Dorothy LeVassar of Seattle; 22 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Leona J Goheen on Sept 25, 2011.
Visitation will be 3-5 p.m. today at Schrader Funeral Home. Vigil for the deceased will be a 1 p.m. Saturday at Holy Trinity Catholic Church with a funeral liturgy at 2 p.m.
Dick's's grandchildren and great-grandchildren will serve as honorary pallbearers. A private interment service with military honors will be at Beth El Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
