A celebration of Loy's life will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, December 15, 2014 at Brown's Funeral Service Chapel with Sandra Pierce officiating. Interment will follow in Restland Cemetery in Silo with Jeff Durant, Jason Foor, John Foor and Randy Hardwick serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home on Sunday evening from 5-7 PM.

Loy Beal of Plano, Texas and former Bryan County resident passed from this life at his home on Thursday, December 11, 2014 at the age of 86. Loy was born on September 16, 1928 in Silo, Oklahoma to Sindy and Emily (Nichelson) Beal.
Loy married Clara Pope on August 23, 1946 in Sherman, Texas and they have been blessed with 68 years together. Loy attended Southeastern Oklahoma State University and received his Bachelor’s Degree and continued his education at UCO in Edmond receiving his Master’s Degree in Education. He served as Minister of Music at several churches including First Baptist Church in Clarksville, TX, Calvary Baptist in Tulsa, OK, Village Baptist in OKC, OK, First Baptist in Hobart, OK and Meadows Baptist Church in Plano, TX. Loy was a member of the Sounds of Praise and sang with the Centurymen. He loved to travel to the mountains, missionary work and working with his hands.
Loy was preceded in death by his parents, Sindy and Emily Beal and baby brother.
Loy is survived by his wife, Clara of the home; daughter, Cynthia Foor and husband John of Plano, TX; granddaughter, RaNelle Durant of Lewisville, TX; grandson, Jeff Durant of Houston, TX; great grandchildren, Angelica and Gloria Lopez; brother, Henry Beal of Milburn, OK and niece Nicole Beal of Kansas City.
