Birth
Perry was born a spastic paraplegic and in 1913 his mother took him to St. Louis, Missouri for treatment with no success. In the 1930's perry went to a hospital in Pittsburg where treaments to staighten his legs were successful. He then began to learn to walk with the aid of braces that extended to his hips and were attached to special shoes.Census

Perry was born deformed and used crutches throughtout his life. I remember him and Lottie his wife when they would come to Boalsburg and visit my grandmother as very nice people. Perry and Lottie had no children.Census

Lottie B Carnahan Becomes Bride of Perry H Sweet in Grace ChurchGrace Methodist church was the scene of a charming wedding on Saturday, April 11, at 2:00 pm when before an alter banked with white carnations and stock, Lottie B Carnahan, 905 Madison avenue and Perry H Sweet 316 Popular street, son of Mrs. Sarah Sweet, Boalsburg, were untied in marriage by the Rev Ralph Findley.
Traditional music was provided by Mona Jean Sweet of Boalsburg.
The bride, given in marriage b y her brother, Clifton E Carnahan, wore dusty rose lace with beige aerosolizes and orchard, corsage.
Her sister-in-law Mrs Neva Carnahan was matron of honor wearing blue with white accessories and yellow rose corsage. Joyce Carnahan, a niece, was junior attendant in pink nylon with blue carnation colonial bouquet.
William Sweet, brother of the bridegroom, served as best man with Master Jeffrey Sweet, the bridegroom' young son, as junior attendant. Ushers were E Dale Carnahan, the bride's nephew and Logan R Hill of State College.
The bridegroom' mother chose navy blue with a red rose corsage.
