Notes
Birth
Birth caculated from census data and Obituary. Death register had a 2 days which may have been thought to be a 4 by mistake.Census
In the 1850 Census (18 Oct 1850) Joseph was 40 years old and a farmer, Elizabeth was 32; the children Amos, 10; John, 8; Mary, 7; Sarah, 5; William, 3; and Danial 1. Elizabeth Weaver age 54 was also living with them. I presume that Elizabeth was Elizabeth Myers mother, and her husband was dead. Also a George Weaver was a Laborer. My mother had always said that Joseph and Elizabeth had a son named George. This could be the reason for the information she gave to me. It is quite possible that George was Elizabeth Weavers son and Elizabeth Myers sister.Census

Death with its solemn tread has again cast a gloom over our community and removed from her earthly home Mrs Sarah Hummel of this place last Friday evening. Our community was startled upon hearing of her unexpected death, although she had been in declining health for several months. The past two weeks she was apparently improving in health and thought she would get well again. On the day of her death she accompanied her sister art way to Painterville, as he was leaving for he home in Centre County, and in the evening sat down and ate a hearty supper, after which she went and l aid down on the lounge on account of not feeling well, where she remained but a few minutes, when she fell off on the floor and expired in a few minutes.. About three years ago her husband was celled home. One daughter, aged 13, and four brothers and two sisters survive, and in their bereavement they have the sympathy of many who morn with the. The death of Mrs H. has brought sorrow to more homes than that in which she was called mother and sister. No more amiable charitable, courteous woman ever lived. Her life was full of good works. She was so considerate and kindly in all the relations of life and in the sick room she was always ready to assist if needed. To those of her friends who were most intimately associated with her in every day life her death is a bereavement which will cloud their skies for many weeks to come. She was a member of the Lutheran church at this place for several years and an earnest worker in the Sunday school and o-worker in the church. At Lilleyville, Pa July 27, 1894. Mrs Sarah C.
