Death
From Bangor Church and Graveyard history/cemetery survey:Cyrus was the son of Richard & Hannah Jacobs, born in 1760 in Chester County, the fourth generation of his family in Pennsylvania. He married Margaretta Davis Old (daughter of James Old) in 1782. He served as a PVT 4th class under Capt. William Harris, Chester County militia 1780 (PA Archives S5 Vol V page 609). Cyrus was an active member of Bangor Church, serving on various committees. He also served as Justice of the Peace.
From Lancaster Journal, Friday May 7th, 1830:
Cyrus died suddenly at White Hall, near Churchtown, in his 69th year of age. He was one of the most worthy and respectable citizens.
