Lanie Wellman
LAS VEGAS - Lanie "Tince" Wellman, 85, formerly of Turkey, Texas, died Thursday, Oct. 18, 2001.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in the Church of Christ in Turkey with Ted Kingery officiating. Burial will be in Dreamland Cemetery in Turkey by Myers-Long Funeral Directors of Turkey.
Mrs. Wellman was born Nov. 27, 1915, in Wolf Bayou, Ark. She was a homemaker and had owned a grocery store in Buffalo Flat for a number of years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, J.A. Wellman in 1987; and a son, Glenn Martin Couch.
Survivors include three sons, Stanley Couch and Bud Couch both of Silverton, and Darrell Couch of Lubbock; two daughters, Mary Ann Carlisle and Glenna Steele both of Las Vegas; 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
The body will be available for viewing from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. today in Myers-Long Funeral Directors of Silverton and will later be available for viewing from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday in Myers-Long Funeral Directors of Turkey.
