Death

Nov 19, 1957 - The Reporter - Funeral services for Dr Lisle Carlton Scott were held Wednesday Nov 13th at Bethany Lutheran Church. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery. Pallbearers were Norman Thompson, Herbert K. Doyle, Lloyd Frost, Clarence E. Nicholson, C.K. Robbins all of Emmetsburg, and Wilbur Wilson of Mallard.
Dr. Scott was born Feb. 26, 1894 in Emmetsburg, a son of Edgar J. and Mira Albright Scott. He had lived here all his life. He was married April 15, 1948 to Ellen Johnson at Sioux City. He died suddenly of a heart attack Monday, Nov. 11, at his home, 403 Madison street.
He is survived by his wife, Ellen; his father, E.J. Scott and step mother, Gertrude; his sister Mrs Fred (Arlene) Kerber; and two brothers, Dr Phil Scott of Spirit Lake and and Edgar Scott of Emmetsburg. Other survivors include: an uncle, Dr Harry Scott of Peterson; and two nephews James Kerber of Ames and Phil Kerber of Emmetsburg. His mother preceded him in death in 1928.
Dr Scott has practiced dentistry since 1915. He was a graduate of Indiana State Dental College, Indianapolis, IN.
