Obirtuary Reads As Follows:
George D. Albright, a resident of Belvidere and vicinity for the past 50 years died at 8 o'clock Monday night at the Boone Couny home where he had been cared for nearly a year. He had been ill for the past month with dropsy and kidney trouble and the end was hastened by his advanced age.
He was born in Sherburne, New York, on April 1, 1833 to John C. and Eliza (White) Albright. He came to Illinois when he was three years old. For years he practiced here as a veterninary. He was twice married. There survive two sons, Charles of Montana, William of Sioux Falls, S. D. and a niece Miss Stevenson of DeKalb.
Funeral services will be held from the Bryam & Atkins undertaking parlors Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock and internment will be in Belvidere Cemetery.
Not listed are two daughters, Minnie who died in 1947, and Ida. (Death unknown)
Census records indicate that George also farmed for a period of time in Spring Township.
No known photographs of George are in existence, and his marker at the Belvidere Cemetery is nearly worn away. He is buried adjacent to his wife Caroline.
