Maud of Northumberland was born circa 1074 at Scone Abbey, Scone, Perthshire, Scotland.2 She was the daughter of Waltheof, Earl of Northumbria and Huntingdon and Judith of Lens.3 She married, firstly, Simon de St. Liz, Earl of Huntingdon and Northampton circa 1090.2 She married, secondly, David I 'the Saint', King of Scotland, son of Malcolm III 'Caennmor', King of Scotland and Saint Margaret 'the Exile' (?), circa 1113.2 She died between 23 April 1130 and 22 April 1131.4
She was also known as Matilda.5
