Henry Berkeley, 7th Baron Berkeley was born posthumously on 26 November 1534.2 He was the son of Thomas Berkeley, 6th Baron Berkeley and Anne Savage.2 He married, firstly, Lady Katherine Howard, daughter of Henry Howard, Earl of Surrey and Lady Frances de Vere, in September 1554 at Kenninghall, Norfolk, EnglandG.2 He married, secondly, Jane Stanhope, daughter of Sir Michael Stanhope and Ann Rawson, on 9 March 1597/98 at St. Giles, Cripplegate, London, EnglandG.2 He died on 26 November 1613 at age 79 at Callowdon, Warwickshire, EnglandG.2 He was buried at Berkeley, Gloucestershire, EnglandG.2 His will was proven (by probate) on 2 February 1613/14.2
Henry Berkeley, 7th Baron Berkeley also went by the nick-name of Henry 'the Harmlesse'.2 He succeeded as the 7th Baron Berkeley [E., 1421] on 26 November 1534.2 He was appointed Knight, Order of the Bath (K.B.) on 28 September 1553.2 On 13 May 1555 he had special livery of his lands, by Royal Warrant, including Berkeley Castle.2 He held the office of Lord-Lieutenant of Gloucestershire between 1603 and 1613.2 His last will was dated 20 December 1612.
