Annabel Mary Carr is the daughter of Brigadier William Greenwood Carr.2 She married Robert Washington Shirley, 13th Earl Ferrers, son of Robert Walter Shirley, 12th Earl Ferrers and Hermione Justice Morley, on 21 July 1951.1
From 21 July 1951, her married name became Shirley.1 After her marriage, Annabel Mary Carr was styled as Countess Ferrers on 11 October 1954.
