Death
SERVICES HELD FOR GERBEN DE VRIES, 64Gerben O. De Vries, age 64, of Artesia, Cal., and a retired farmer from Iowa, passed away May 9.
Memorial services were held from the Artesia mortuary Garden Chapel Thursday afternoon, Rev. Wm. Miedema officating. Burial was at Forest Lawn Memorial park in Cvpress.
His wife Ada survives, as does a son, Donald of Lakewood; a daughter, Mrs Shirley Moerman of Artesia; two grandsons and two granddaughters; 10 greatgrandchildren; two brothers, Glaas of Artesia and William of San Luis Obispo; four sisters, Mrs Effie Wichers of Buena Park, Mrs Johanna Niemeyer, Inwood; and Mrs Kate Van Essen, Beloit; Mrs Nellie Van Der Wetering in South Dakota.
