Sir Henry de Braybrook

(Abt 1188 - Bef 13 Apr 1234)

Sir Henry de Braybrooke joined the Barons who opposed King John in 1214. His lands were seized because of his participation in the rebellion. In 1217 de Braybrooke swore allegiance to the Crown and his lands were restored to him. He was appointed on the of the Justices itinerant for Bucks. & Beds. In his judicial capactiy, he levied a fine on Faukes de Breaute in 1224. Faukes de Breaute joined with the garrison of Bedford Castle in rebellion and took de Braybrooke prisoner. De Braybrooe was released after King Henry III besieged Bedford Castle.

M Christina (she M 2nd Gerard de Furnival, d 1241/2, & M 3rd Thomas de Grelley. She Died 1271), d. of Wischard Ledet, d 1221, & his wife Margaret, d. of Robert Foliot, Lord of Chipping Warden, Northants. Died before June 1234.
