Conrad I, Duke of Carinthia

(975 - 12 Dec 1011)

According to Wikipedia:

Konrad I , called Konrad von Kärnten , (* around 975 ; † December 12 or December 15, 1011 ) from the House of Salier was Duke of Carinthia from 1004.
He was the third son of Duke Otto I of Carinthia, the younger brother of Pope Gregory V and the eldest of Otto's four sons, who outlived his father. He was one of the candidates in the king's election in 1002 . He was buried in Worms Cathedral.
Konrad von Kärnten had been married to Mathilde von Schwaben , a daughter of Duke Hermann II , since around 1002. The couple had two sons:
Konrad II the Younger (* probably 1003; † 1039), Count in Nahegau , Speyergau and Wormsgau , Duke of Carinthia 1036-1039
Bruno (* probably 1004; † 1045), Bishop of Würzburg 1034-1045
After Konrad's early death, Mathilde married Duke Friedrich II of Upper Lorraine ( Wigeriche ) in her second marriage and the Ascan Esiko von Ballenstedt in her third marriage . She was also buried in Worms Cathedral.
