Velma L. Harness, 92, of Marshall, Arkansas, passed away on Tuesday, September 15, 2020, at Highland Court in Marshall, Arkansas.
Velma Lee was born on September 20, 1927, in Timbo, Arkansas, to the late Austin Broyles and Annabelle Smith Broyles. She worked at Flintrock Shirt Factory for several years. She and husband, Lester ran the Harness Grocery Store in Landis for a long time. She was a strong, hardworking woman who meant the world to her family.
Velma was preceded in death by her parents, Austin and Annabelle Broyles; her husband, Lester Harness; and brother, Dale Broyles.
Survivors include her son, Gwen Charles Harness, of Marshall; daughter, Charlotte Smith and her husband, Don, of Harrison; grandsons: Charles Harness and his wife, Markette, of St. Joe, Clint Harness, of Marshall, and Cody Pulliam and his wife, Brooke, of Harrison; great-grandchildren: Jaspen, Jacey, Jack, and Gracey; niece, Imalee Riggins; and many other family and friends.
