Daughter to John Nathaniel and Sarah Elizabeth Hinchey Horton; married Arthur Dewey Kimbrell on Nov 21, 1936; a beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother; a wonderful cook, seamstress, quilter; a member of Landmark Missinary Baptist Church in Marshall.

She and her husband owned and managed a cafe in Marshall for several years; later retired from the Sunset Restaurant in Marshall.

Preceded in death by her husband; parents; infant son, Dewey Blaine Kimbrell; and siblings, Woodrow W. Kimbrell, Loyce Horton, Opal Horton Bosworth, Ruth Horton Sullins, and Otie Horton.

She is survived by her daughter, Sue Rickard and husband Don of 287 Maeuren Circle, Russellville, Arkansas, and son James and wife Sharron of 5521 Cresent Drive, North Little Rock, Ar. One step daughter, Bonny Docekal of Pottsville, Arkansas. Four grandchildren, James Kimbrell Jr., Alesha Bain, Donald Rickard Jr., and Kimbra Lee Tate. Two step-grandchildren, Tina and Tim Docekal. Eight great-grandchildren, Tiffany, Tray, and Taylor Kimbrell, Laura and William Bain, Blake Rickard, Michael and Abigail Tate.

Pallbearers were grandsons.

Funeral services were Oct 3, 2005 with Roy Ragland and Bill Derickson officiating and burial was in the Canaan Cemetery in Marshall.
