Charles joined the Bethel Masonic Lodge in Edmundston, NB, where he served as Worshipful Master. He served in the Armed Forces. He is a WWII veteran. He was an operator and dispatcher for the Canadian National Railroad and also was the superintendent of car services for all of Canada. Charles was sports minded, where he made a hole-in-one at the Gowan Brae Golf Course in Bathurst, NB. He was a recognized cook. He was found dead from a massive heart attack.
