ROBERT J. CARTER
(1888 - 19 Sep 1936)
Robert was a WWI veteran in the Canadian Army. He sailed out of Halifax, Nova Scotia one hour before the historic explosion that ruined the city. Robert was killed by a car on Sept. 19, 1936 in front of the old Jack-O-Lantern (a dance hall) on Broadway in So. Portland about 2 blocks from his parents home, where he was living.
