According to the obituary of Manchester Ryder (see Fam #136) Amy had gone to South Lancaster MA as a girl to complete her education. She returned to New Brunswick, where she married at about the age of 17. Shortly after the marriage of Daniel Ryder and Amy Ryder, this family moved to Rochester MA, where Daniel called himself Freeman Ryder, and Amy called herself Agnes Ryder. Amy is said to have owned property in Rochester, and their first three children were born there.

Later the family moved to Fresno CA, where Daniel died, and Agnes remarried.

The Schultz family removed to Loma Linda CA in 1926.
