ANNEKE WEBBER
(16 Mar 1605 - 19 Mar 1663)
Thus you can see that Anneke had three daughters and one son by her first husband, of whom only the daughters left descendants. Also she had four sons by her second marriage, of whom only three ever married.
ANNEKE JANS BOGARDUS made a will about two months before her death, in which she speaks of the above eight children and a few grandchildren by name, and mentions no other husband than JANS and BOGARDUS, so evidently she was only married twice.
ANNEKE died at her home near what is now Albany, N.Y. on March 19, 1663, at the age of 58. She is buried in the Old Dutch Burying ground near Albany.
NOTE--Some of these dates (ancient ) can only be approximate, for sometimes I have found several different dates given for the same event. I have chosen to use the most reasonable dates given.
Some records say Dr. HANS KIERSTEDE, husband of SARAH JANS ROELOFFSON, was from Magdeburg, Austria. They also say she and Dr. HANS may have been married as early as 1642. Be that as it may, they had ten children, two of whom died in infancy. Dr. HANS died in 1666 and on Sept. 1, 1660 SARAH married CORNELIUS VAN BORSUM. On July 21, 1683 SARAH married for the third time a man by name of ELBERT ELBERTSEN STOOTHOFF. She died in N.Y. 1693. Her will was dated July 29, 1693, with a codicil dated Aug. 7, 1693.
Dr. HANS KIERSTEAD Jr., a surgeon, lived in N.Y. City, married JANNETJE LOOCKERMANS on Feb. 12, 1667, had 5 children and died between Apr. 20, 1691 and Mar. 1692. He was rated as worth 2000 Florins. Another Dr. HANS KIERSTEAD died in 1759 leaving, among others, a son CHRISTOFFEL and a grandson of the same name, one of whom became a doctor.
Dr. JACOBUS KIERSTEAD died in 1702, or before, leaving 3 small boys, HANS 10 yrs; SAMUEL 7 and JACOBUS 3.
