Mary Johnson is of French descent. They lived at Jamaica Long Island until 1783, then migrated to New Brunswick Canada. They had at least 44 grr. sons all Kiersteads and 22 gr. daughters. Samuel Kierstead and his son Luke got a grant of 500 acres not far from Norton King's County N.B. Johnson and Hezekiah got grants near Gagetown.
