HUGH MCQUOID

Hugh took granddaughter Gerldine frequently on cookouts by the seaside with tomatoes and other vegetables stuffed in the pockets of his Sunday suit. They then dug up and cooked clams. Fireman of Compnay Two, Saint Andrews in 1898-99. Obituary states that he "followed the sea in his early years." Co-owned the 'Carrie' a 91 ton two-masted schooner (83 foot) with John Treadwell and Robert McQuoid from 1871-??. Hugh and Emma were married at the ministers house in Bayside, N.B.
