(Immigrant ancestor) Thomas (a twin, one of 11 ch: Joseph 1620. Nellie Rider and "Transcript" (1932) says he came to America on the ship "Hercules" in 1638, with 7 children. b. in England, and 7 servants. "Transcript" (1911) says he came "on the ship"Humle", 200 tons, John Withely, master", with his wife Lydia, 7 ch. and 7 servants, in 1634. He had, however, first come over alone in 1628, and had bought land in Scituate. He was ruling elder of the Scituate ch. He d. in 1641, In his will, dated May 25, 1641, he leaves lands in Tenterden, Kent and in Scituate and Marshfield, Ms. He was the first person in New England to keep bees.]
