She was born at New Jerusalem, Queens, of UEL parentage (Puritan, Dutch, & French). She was a teacher, and active in the Women's Institute. They lived on a farm near Medicine Hat, AB for a number of years before poor health and drought caused them to move back to NB. He was a shoemaker in Havelock. No children. [Alward Book]
