MILDRED AMANDA MCQUOID

MILDRED A. LUND BAILEYVILLE - Mildred Amanda McQuoid O'Neill Lund, wife of Lawrence Lund, passed away peacefully after a long illness at her home with her loving family by her side on Oct. 30, 2001. She was born Feb. 25, 1914, the youngest child of Melvin and Lula (Armstrong) McQuoid of St. Andrews, New Brunswick.
"Middy" graduated from St. Andrews High School, where she earned all academic awards in her graduating class. She was a graduate of Fredericton Normal School and taught school in Flume Ridge, Rollingdam and Upper Mills, N.B.
She married Byrne O'Neill in 1936. They moved to Calais. She was a member of the office staff of Ware Knitters. She also worked many years in the accounting office at Georgia-Pacific from which she retired.
She was predeceased by her parents, brother, sister, first husband, stepdaughter, son-in-law, grandson and best friend, Donna MacNichol.
She is survived by her husband, her two daughters, Miriam "Mimi" and her husband, Gordon MacArthur, Genevieve "Genny" McKeil of Woodland; stepson, Ronald O'Neill and wife, Eleanor of Calais; stepdaughter, Bea Eyler of Napa, Calif.; stepsons, Kenneth Lund and wife, Deanna of East Hampton, Conn., Ronald Lund of East Machias and stepdaughter, Ellen and husband, William Richard of East Hampton; grandchildren, Diana Grass of Glenburn, David Beach of Waterbury, Debra Loring of Glenburn, Darin Pavone of Nashville, Tenn., Gina Pavone of Calais; five great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren, also seven stepgrandchildren.
A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 3, 2001, at Calais Cemetery.
