Burial

Obituary: DeQuincy--Albert "Bert" Hoffpauir, 86, died December 27, 2010 in his residence. He was born in Crowley, La. and lived in DeQuincy for the last 25 years coming from Sulphur. He was of the Protestant faith, and a member of the VFW, The American Legion and The Woodmen of the World. Survivors include his wife; of 64 years, Mrs. Ramona B. Hoffpauir of DeQuincy, daughter; Linda Marcantel and husband, Marvin Wayne of Sulphur, 4 grandchildren; Gary Todd Lawrence of DeQuincy, Melissa Limberis and husband, Nick of Lake Charles, Tamra Fruge and husband, Patrick of Sulphur and Matthew Marcantel and fiance', Amy Donovan of Carlyss and 9 great grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; Mansel and Ella Hoffpaiur, 4 sisters and 3 brothers.   Services will be Thursday, December 30, 2010 at 11a.m. in Hixson-Snider Funeral Home in DeQuincy. Rev. Chris Jeffus of Pine Grove Baptist Church and Rev. Glenn George of Gillis First Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Masonic Cemetery in DeQuincy under the direction of Hixson-Snider Funeral Home. Visitation will be Wednesday, December 29, 2010 from 2-9p.m. in Hixson-Snider Funeral Home and will resume on Thursday in the funeral home from 8a.m. until time of service.
