Clyde Joseph Falcon

RAYNE - Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 7, 2001, at St. Joseph Catholic Church for Clyde Joseph Falcon, 76, who died Wednesday, Dec. 5, at his residence in Rayne. Survivors include his wife, Mona Rayon Falcon, of Rayne; three daughters, Jessica F. Miller and her husband Joseph Miller Jr., Jacqueline A. Falcon and Jennifer C. Falcon, all of Rayne; two sons, Joel G. and James L. Falcon, both of Pearland, Texas; and two granddaughters, Jenna N. and Janna E. Miller, both, of Rayne. Clyde is also survived by six sisters, Ruth F. Cavalier, Julia F. LaCroix, Nazida F. Petitjean, all of Rayne, Louetta F. Palmer, of Baton Rouge, Pearl O. Trosclair, of Lafayette and Jeanne O. Breaux, of New Iberia; and one brother, Frank Falcon Jr., of New Iberia. Clyde was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Dora Hoffpauir Falcon Sr.; his stepmother, Julia Bourque Falcon; and one sister, Virginia F. Meyer.
Pallbearers will be members of the American Legion Post 77 of Rayne. Honorary pallbearers will be Frank Falcon Jr., Joel and James Falcon, Joseph Miller Jr. and Wade Rayon. Assisting will be lay ministers Nazida and T.J. Petitjean; readers, Julia LaCroix and Beverly Rayon; and offertory gifts, Jenna and Janna Miller.
Mr. Falcon retired from Stamm-Schelle water well service after 46 years of service. He was a veteran of World War II, having served as a member of the 317th Infantry, 80th Division and was a member of the American Legion Post 77. Rosaries will be recited at 3:30 p.m., 3:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. today. Visitation is from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. to services Friday. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery under the direction of Gossen Funeral Home of Rayne.
