Death
Obituatry: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 6, 2007 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church for Cecile Hoffpauir Trahan, 101, who died March 4, 2007 at American Legion Hospital in Crowley. Fr. Matthew Higginbotham will be officiating for the services. The family has requested visitation to be held Monday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Tuesday from 8 a.m. until the time of service. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Monday at Geesey-Ferguson Funeral Home in Crowley. Interment will be in Woodlawn Mausoleum. She is survived by four daughters, Wanda Trahan, Betty T. Boulet, Brunella T. Rogers, and Rose Marie Trahan all of Crowley; sixteen grandchildren; forty-seven great-grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren. Mrs. Trahan is preceded in death by her husband, Whitney J. Trahan; her daughter, Dorothy Trahan; her parents, Arestile and Elzima Champagne Hoffpauir; three sisters, Dora H Falcon, Adele Hoffpauir, and Bertha Bier; and five brothers, Clinus, Fabian Gervais, Alex, and Daniel Hoffpauir.
