Obituary: ABBEVILLE - Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 26, 2006, at Abbeville United Methodist Church for Carmen Killmer Boulet, 82, who died Saturday, Jan. 21, 2006, following a long illness. Interment will be in Graceland Cemetery in Abbeville. Mrs. Boulet was a member of the Eastern Star and a long time member of the Abbeville United Methodist Church where she taught kindergarten Sunday school classes for over 40 years. Mrs. Boulet was born in Iota, La. and grew up in the areas of Itoa, Crowley and Rayne. She is survived by one son, Dan L. Boulet Jr., of Wilmington, Del.; one daughter, Jan Boulet Manning, of Frederick, Md.; three sisters, Olga Schneider, of Crowley, Henrietta Brasino and Lottie Leszczynski, both of California; one brother, Marvin Killmer, of Colorado; five grandchildren, David Boulet, Tim Manning and Joy Manning, all of Maryland, Jonathan Boulet, of Georgia; and Rebekah Kerstetter, of New Jersey; and four great-grandchildren. Mrs. Boulet was preceded in death by her parents, Myrtle Fisher Killmer Adolf and Henry James Killmer; and her husband, Dan L. Boulet Sr. Visitation will be observed from 5 p.m. until 10 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 25 at Vincent Funeral Home and will continue from 8 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 26. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Children's Ministry of the Abbeville United Methodist Church or Graceland Cemetery in Abbeville.
