Lozelle H. Hoffpauir, 80, of Lake Charles died at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2003, in a local care facility. Mrs. Hoffpauir was a native and lifelong resident of Lake Charles. She graduated from Lake Charles High School in 1943. She attended McNeese Junior College. She was a secretary for 16 years for the Calcasieu Parish School Board. She was a longtime secretary for Dr. Eleanor Cooke. Mrs. Hoffpauir was a longtime member of Immaculate Conception Cathedral. She was also a member of the 4-H Club where she was a 4-H Leader. Survivors include one son, Travis A. Hoffpauir and his wife, Cathy, of Lake Charles; one brother, the Rev. T.L. Herlong of Lake Charles; and three grandchildren, Todd, Troy and Traci Hoffpauir, all of Lake Charles. She was preceded in death by one brother, Capt. Daniel Herlong; two half brothers, George and Herold Harveson; and her beloved husband, Travis Austin Hoffpauir. Her funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday Dec. 12, from Immaculate Conception Cathedral. The Rev. T.L. Herlong will officiate. Burial will be in Consolata Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation is 4-10 p.m. today with a Scripture service at 6:30 p.m. in the funeral home. Visitation continues 8-9:30 a.m. Friday. (LCAP 11 Dec 2003)
