Obituary: LEWIS, ANNA BROWNING: Co-founder of Lewis Lawnmowers, she died at 6:26 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 9, 1997, at her residence in Baton Rouge. She was 79 and a native of Baton Rouge. Visiting was held at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd. 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday. Visiting at the funeral home 8 a.m. to 8:40 a.m. Monday. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Jean Vianney Catholic Church at 9 a.m. Monday, celebrated by the Rev. Keun-Soe Lee. Interment in Greenoaks Memorial Park. Survived by a son, J.R.Lewis, Florida; a sister, Elaine Browning Fife, Baton Rouge; a brother and sister-in-law, Merritt and Jane Browning, Baton Rouge; a daughter-in-law, Janice Fussell, Baton Rouge; four grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by husband, John Alex Lewis; parents, Frank and Lottie Browning; a brother and sister-in-law, Floyd F. Browning and Ruthie Davis Browning; a brother and sister-in-law, Joseph A. and Pearl Pace Browning; and a brother-in-law, Enos P. Fife. She was a member of St. Jean Vianney Catholic Church.Endnotes
