Burial

Obituary: Last Rites Are Held For Mrs. G.Sommers: Mrs. G. H.Sommers died at the residence of her daughter. Mrs. Leonce Breaux in the third ward of this parish Sunday, August 27th at 12:30 a.m.The deceased, the former Lena Wilkens was 85 years. The funeral services were held at St. Genevieve’s Catholic Church Sunday afternoon at 5:00 p.m. followed by interment in St. John’s Catholic cemetery. She is survived by two daughters. Mrs. W. H Landry, Sr., of this city and Mrs Leonce Breaux of Lafayette parish; two sons. Henry and Alfred Sommers of this city; 13 grand and 8 great grand children also survive. Arrangements were by Crouchet and Guchereau, with the First National Funeral home. Pallbearers were: Leonce Breaux, Alfred Sommers, John Lindstrum, Paul Hannan, Ralph Landry and Gaston P. Hebert.
