Burial
Obituary: New Iberia - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM Tuesday, May 14, 2013 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in New Iberia for Jesse Foreman, Sr., 71, who died Friday, May 10, 2013, in New Iberia. Interment will follow in the Holy Family Cemetery. Rev. Manny Fernandez will be the Celebrant. A gathering of family and friends will be Monday from 3:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia. A Masonic Service will be conducted at 6:00 PM Monday, by the Hugh M. Daspit Lodge No. 301. A rosary will be prayed at 6:30 PM Monday. Visitation will continue Tuesday from 8:00 AM until 10:30 AM. Mr. Foreman was born on May 30, 1941, and retired from the oilfield after many years of service. He enjoyed camping, fishing, and retirement. Mr. Foreman was a member and Past Master of the Hugh M. Daspit Lodge No. 301 in St. Martinville, and a member of the York Rite Bodies of Lafayette. He is survived by his wife, Hazel Menard Foreman of New Iberia; mother, Marie Blanchard Foreman of New Iberia; son, Jesse Foreman, Jr. and wife Deborah of Katy, Texas; daughters, Shelly Foreman of New Iberia, Sharon Rogers and husband Michael of New Iberia, Sheryl Vallone and husand Michael of New Iberia, Sheela Saunders and husband Michael of Youngsville; brothers, Daniel Foreman of Indiana, Jeffrey Foreman and wife Ethel of Loreauville, Chris Foreman and wife Rachel of Lafayette; sisters, Dorothy Nell Gauthier and husband Dickie of New Iberia, Linda Rabeaux and ;husband Willie of New Iberia, Cynthia LeBlanc of St. Martinville; 18 grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Doris Foreman; and infant brothers, David and Teddy Foreman. Pallbearers will be Seth Champagne, Michael Saunders, Jr., Alex Wazenkewitz, Eric Guidry, Chris Foreman, and Jeffrey Foreman. Honorary pallbearers include Jesse Foreman, Jr., Michael Rogers, Michael Vallone, Michael Saunders, Taylor Broussard, Jon Baudry, Seth Scott, and Daniel Foreman.
