Burial

Obituary: Cole Joseph Simon, 20, died Saturday, March 6, 2010, in Vinton. He was a native and lifelong resident of Sulphur. Cole enjoyed being outdoors hunting, fishing, and mud riding. He was a founding member of Lights Deep Off Road Four-Wheeler Club. Survivors include his father, Gregory Simon of Ville Platt; his mother, Belinda Simon of Sulphur; his girlfriend, Haley LeLeux of Sulphur; his soon to be born son, Levi Joseph Simon; his sister, Lauren Weldon of Sulphur; his Nannys, Raedona Simon of Sulphur and Teresa Carpenter of Nashville, Tennessee; his uncle, Howard Simon, Jr. of Los Angeles, California; grandparents, Norma Simon of Sulphur, and E.L. and Maureen Cole of Westlake; and great-grandparents, Lovenia Hoffpauir of Crowley and Helene Delcambre of Woodville, Texas. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Howard Simon, Sr. His funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 9, in Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home. The Revs. Aubrey Guilbeau and Bud Wagner will officiate. Burial will be in Mimosa Pines South Cemetery in Carlyss. Visitation was from noon to 9 p.m. Monday with a scripture service at 6 p.m. and will be from 8:30 a.m. until time of service Tuesday in the funeral home.
