Death
Obituary: JENNINGS. Services for Aaron Chase Hoffpauir will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2008, at Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church, with the Rev. Charles McMillin officiating. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Mr. Hoffpauir went to be with the Lord on Saturday, Jan. 12. On Dec. 19, 1984, Aaron, a beautiful and precious baby boy, was born to Doug and Melanie Hoffpauir, 27 minutes after his twin sister, Alicia Clare Hoffpauir. He proudly became a big brother to Peter Douglas Hoffpauir seven years later, on Aug. 3, 1991. Aaron lived, loved, laughed and shared life with his family and friends for 23 years and 24 days. He was a loving son, brother, grandson, uncle, nephew, godfather, cousin and friend, and will be very deeply missed by all. Aaron was a member of Our Lady Help of Christians Church, where he was an altar server for two years. He lived in Jennings until moving to Lafayette, LA., in 2006. He was attending S. W. Louisiana Community College, where he was honorably named to the dean's list for the 2007 spring semester. A 2003 graduate of Jennings High School, Aaron had many classmates and friends he held dear. He was a football player and baseball player, ran track and was an extremely passionate basketball player. He is survived by his mother and father, Doug and Melanie Hoffpauir; his twin sister, Alicia Clare; and his brother, Peter Douglas. Other survivors include maternal grandmother Olga Duhon Bonin; paternal grandfather Joseph "Mickey" Hoffpauir and stepgrandmother Loretta; aunts and uncles Cindy cooper, his godmother and husband Sammy Cooper, Darin Hoffpauir, Godfather, Bridge and Jimmy Thomas, Monica and Doug Gary, Peter and Michelle Bonin, Bridget and David Peeler, Patrick Bonin, and Brandy and Scotty Cormier; first cousins Jill Key, Kayla Hall, Ashley Peeler, Corey Bonin, Derrek Hoffpauir, Blake Bonin, Mandy Hoffpauir, Ryan Bonin, Trey Thomas, Jake Cooper, Rachae Bonin, Blair Bonin, Mary Cooper, Paige Bonin, Paige Cormier, Shawn Bonin, Rayla Bonin, Jacob Needham and Nicole Needham; nephew and godchild Cameron Anderson; and godchildren and second cousins Drew Hoffpauir and Will Peeler. Preceding Aaron in death were his maternal grandfather, Leroy Peter Bonin, and paternal grandmother, Mary Louise Hoffpauir. Pallberers include Peter Hoffpauir, Derrek Hoffpauir, Jake Cooper, Trey Thomas, Corey Bonin, Ryan Bonin, Blake Bonin and Jacob Needham. Honorary pallbearers include John Aderson, Jared Babineaux, Matt and Beau Bruchhaus, Drew and David Bruchhaus, Jonathan Byrne, Joseph Carter, Ross Cassidy, Ryan Chaisson, Bart Comeaux, Jordy Daigle, Jude Dupuis, Kedrick Etheridge, Peyton Green, Courtlin Greis, Jacob Levy, Alonzo Manuel, Kolby Meyers, Joel Oustalet, Josh Oustalet and John Solarie.
