Obituary: CROWLEY - Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 1, 2007, at the Northside Assembly of God Acadiana Cathedral for Charlotte Cormier Spell, 55, who died 8:46 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 30, 2007, at Lafayette General Medical Center. The Rev. Loyd Singley, pastor of Northside Assembly of God, will officiate the funeral service and the committal services at Greenwood Cemetery in Jennings, La. Visitation will be held Friday from 11 a.m. until 9 p.m. and will continue Saturday from 8 a.m. until service time. Mrs. Spell was born June 9, 1952 in Jennings, La. She was a beloved daughter, wife, mother and grandmother. She loved her God and her family. Her Ministry was singing gospel music throughout the state. She also sang for many civic organizations and anywhere she was asked to perform. She was a part of the family owned businesses in Jennings and Crowley known as Boudin King and Cajun Way Restaurants. She is survived by her husband, Tom Spell, of Crowley; a son, Sean Spell and his girlfriend, Holli Hunt, of Crowley; her mother, June Wilson Cormier, of Jennings; a sister, Linda C. McCluer, of Jennings; a granddaughter, Chloe' Elizabeth Spell; two nephews, Robert and Randy McCluer; and her mother-in-law, Ruth Spell, of Crowley. She was preceded in death by her father, Ellis Cormier; and her father-in-law, Thomas K.
