Burial
Obituary: Graveside Services for Marcel Joseph Aucoin Jr. will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 13, 2013, at Greenwood Memorial Park with Reverend Ricky Willis of First United Methodist Church, Pineville, officiating. A celebration of Marcel's life will follow immediately at Canterbury House, 1101 16th Street, Alexandria. Marcel Joseph Aucoin, Jr. was born in Nebraska City, Nebraska on December 10, 1924 to Marcel and Lillie Fettin Aucoin, Sr. He passed from this life on November 9, 2013 in Alexandria, Louisiana at the age of 88. He was a WWII Army veteran who served in the European Theater. His life was filled with work, raising his family and being a loving husband, father, papa, great grandfather, brother, uncle and faithful friend- a life well lived. He will be deeply missed by those that knew and loved him. He was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Yvonne Martin Aucoin and parents. Those left to cherish his memory and life lessons he taught them are his daughters, Arleen Hague and husband, David and Kerri Walker and husband, Dennis; grandchildren, Dr. Jon-David Hague and Dr. Seth Martin Hague; great grandchildren, Ayana Sueishi-Hague and Keigen Sueishi-Hague and numerous nieces and nephews. The family wishes to thank Central Louisiana Home Health and Canterbury House in Alexandria for all their love, compassion and care. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alexandria Animal Shelter, 200 Animal Shelter Rd, Alexandria.
