Kenneth Joseph Duhon

CROWLEY - Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 23, 2005, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church for Kenneth Joseph Duhon, 61, who died at 5 p.m. Wednesday, April 20, 2005, at University Medical Center in Lafayette. The Rev. Rusty Richard, pastor of Immaculate Heart of Mary, will officiate for the services. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. Mr. Duhon served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and received two Purple Hearts and a Silver Star. He was a native of Crowley and a resident of Lafayette at the time of his death and was owner/operator of Rebel Machine Shop in Lafayette. Survivors include two sisters, Audrey D. Smith Hoffpauir of Crowley, and Barbara D. Hoffpauir, of Indian Bayou; his companion, Lorena R. Garcia, of Duson; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Duhon was preceded in death by his parents, John C. and Iris Prevost Duhon; and one brother, Raymond J. Duhon. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 10 a.m. until 9 p.m. today and will continue from 8 a.m. Saturday until service time. A rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m. this evening at the funeral home.
